Nobody ever said poker was supposed to be played in silence. Playing against friends, new players
and rivals means communicating, and at CardRoom.com, we want you to have the
chance to learn as much about the players seated across from you as possible. So, chat with them
and see what “tells” you can pick up! Chat is automatically enabled when you launch the
CardRoom.com client for the first time.
CHAT ON (Default Setting) - When you are in a game and you
type inside the chat window (located in the bottom right-hand corner),
the default setting allows your words to appear in a "Bubble Chat"
next to your CardRoom.com Face™. Think comic book and you get
the idea.
CHAT OFF - You can also turn off the "Bubble Chat"
function completely. From the Main Lobby, choose Options
from the pull down menu and uncheck to "turn it off" and
(check mark)
to "turn it on."
SPECIFIC CHAT CONTROL - There are other ways to
control the chat feature at the table. In the upper left-hand corner
of the table, you will find the yellow Table button. Click
the Table button and the following choices appear:
PLAYER - (check mark) next to Player enables you to see all players chat at the table. Uncheck to "turn it off."
OBSERVER - (check mark) next to Observer enables you to see all observers chat at the table. Uncheck to "turn it off."
DEALER - (check mark) next to Dealer enables you to see the Dealer's comments. Uncheck to "turn it off."
IGNORE SPECIFIC OBSERVER - To ignore a specific
observer at the table, just choose the observer's name.
IGNORE SPECIFIC PLAYER - Right-click another
player's portrait and choose Shut Up to ignore that particular player.
