I've been playing for a while, and I don't seem to be earning any Loyalty! Points. Where are they?
It is possible that your Loyalty! Points are being redeemed as part of successful fulfillment of CardRoom.com promotional offerings, such as the Invite-A-Friend promotion, or other special bonus promotions we may offer from time to time.
These Loyalty! Points, along with your progress in these special promotions and offers will appear under the promotions section within the CardRoom.com online Cashier. Please note that all qualifying Loyalty! Points used to participate in these and select other promotions are redeemed immediately toward that purpose and are non-refundable.

So I filled out my new account information, but I never received that e-mail with the confirmation code. Why didn't I get it and what should I do?
Our system is setup to generate and send confirmation code e-mails on a real-time basis, however some of the most common causes of delay are as follows:
Player may have inadvertently entered their e-mail address incorrectly.
Player may have accidentally forgotten which e-mail address was used to create their account on CardRoom.com. In this case, if you utilize multiple e-mail accounts, please check all your e-mail Inboxes.
Player's e-mail server may have e-mail filtering settings that block delivery of CardRoom.com e-mails. In this case, please change your e-mail settings to allow e-mail from CardRoom.com to avoid this issue in the future.
If for any reason you did not receive your "confirmation code," just send a quick e-mail to support@CardRoom.com and we will resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
What if I win two (2) or more seats in different satellites to the same "target" event?
If a player happens to qualify twice into the same "target" event, our system automatically credits the value of the 2nd "extra seat" to the player.
I'm supposed to register for a Private Group Event, but I need a password. Where can I get it?
Passwords for private events are set by the event organizers. Please contact them to request it.

Can I set up more than one account at CardRoom.com?

This helps you as well as the other players that belong to CardRoom.com. If you need to change your e-mail or password, go to the "Lobby" screen in the game program and select the "Requests" pull-down menu. There you will find the "Change E-mail" and "Change Password" options.
I have sent several e-mails to support@CardRoom.com and have not yet received any response. What is taking so long?
At CardRoom.com we strive to answer player e-mail inquiries as quickly as possible, and aim to deliver all responses within an industry standard 24-hour timeframe. If you have not received a response in a timely manner, it is highly likely that we are experiencing a high-volume of player e-mails during that time or your server, be it at work or home, is filtering our e-mails. To address the e-mail block issue, please change your e-mail settings to allow e-mail from CardRoom.com. If you are still experiencing difficulties with e-mail communication between yourself and CardRoom.com, we suggest creating a more reliable and universal web-based e-mail account at msn.com, hotmail.com or yahoo.com and then register this new address with us at CardRoom.com. This revision can be successfully done by choosing the "Change E-mail" option, found under the "Requests" pull-down menu in the main "Lobby" screen.

We currently offer Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha H/L and Pai Gow Poker along with various tournaments and special events. You will see these titles clearly in the "Tabs" at the top of the main game "Lobby." To select a game type, click on the "tab" of your choice to change the tab color from "blue" to "yellow" and the list of available games will appear. Do I have to play with Premium Chips™? I am learning poker and just want to practice.
We offer a wide range of CHIPS tables for our CardRoom.com members to enjoy. These games are clearly displayed in the main game "Lobby" in blue text with the word "Fun" in front of the table name. Double-click on any of those listed games and you will be brought to the table. The "Take A Seat" graphic will denote available spots at the table. Click an empty seat and you will be automatically seated in the game.
Is there any cost to participate in these games?
There is no charge to participate in any of our games.
Can I play on multiple tables at your site?
We currently allow CardRoom.com members to play up to four (4) tables simultaneously. If you elect to play multiple tables, we recommend that you participate on only the amount of tables that you believe you can keep pace with as a courtesy to other players.
What happens if my connection drops during a hand?
Due to the nature of the Internet, connectivity problems may arise that are beyond the control of both CardRoom.com and the player. As a result, a player may not be able to act in time. CardRoom.com monitors each of its users and actively attempts to dynamically manage the status of their respective connections. However, if a player becomes disconnected during a hand, and that person has invested money in the pot, he/she may be considered as being "All-in". In that event, the player will be treated as if they do not have any chips remaining to be involved in that hand. Consequently, that player will only be eligible for the portion of the pot to which the player had contributed up until the point at which they were considered "All-in" and a side pot will be created from any subsequent action from the remaining players at the table.
All-in protection is only available to players participating in Premium Chips™ fixed-limit ring games. This feature is not available to chips, tournament, or no-limit players.
In addition to allotting CardRoom.com members "All-in" protection, we also provide extra time for them to act in the event that they experience network delays or require more time to contemplate their next action. In all games players are given thirty (30) seconds to act and are provided with an alert message when there is fifteen (15) seconds remaining before they are to be automatically folded.
In the event of a disconnection, CardRoom.com will notify the other players at the table, and provide additional time for the disconnected player to rejoin the game.
How can I get into a game if all available seats are taken?
In the event that there are no available seats, there will be a "Join Waiting List" button in the bottom left-hand area of the "Table" screen. Just click on this button and your player name will automatically be placed at the bottom of the waiting list. In the main game "Lobby" screen, on the right hand part of the screen, you will note your position on the waiting list and the names of those players that precede you in line. Over the course of the game, seats will become available and as a result your name will move up until it is your turn to be seated. At that time, you will be prompted with a dialog box asking you if you would like to join that table.
If a game is full, we recommend taking a seat at an empty table, as it is not uncommon for a table to fill up quickly.
How do I get more chips?
When you sign up, you will receive 1000 chips. You can refill your chip balance at any time your balance drops below 1000 chips. By providing you with the ability to refill your balance, you have the opportunity to continue playing even though you may run in to a bad streak of luck.
When you require more play chips you can readily increase your chip stack by just clicking on the chip tray in the upper middle part of any game table. Please note that when you are involved in a hand in play you cannot bring-in more chips. If you choose to add more chips, they will be immediately credited to your stack prior to commencement of the next hand. However, you are always able to bring more chips to the table if you are not involved in the hand provided that it is greater than the minimum buy-in amount, but does not exceed the maximum permitted at that specific table. In either event a pop-up window will appear allowing you to select the amount you desire from your available balance.
How do I get more Premium Chips™?
When you sign up, you will receive 1000 Premium Chips™. This balance cannot be refilled by going to the cashier.
Acquiring more Premium Chips™ can be accomplished by:
Winning at a Premium Chip™ table.
Winning at a Premium Chip™ tournament.
Winning a High Hand Progressive Jackpot
Converting Loyalty Points into Premium Chips™.
Is there a minimum buy-in for each game?
The minimum buy-in for each fixed limit game will be a multiple of ten (10) times the big blind ("BB") for any given stake, such that in a $1/$2 Hold'em game a player is required to bring $10.00 to the game. In the case of Pot and No Limit games the required amount is twenty (20) times the BB.
Do you have any features that help players new to poker?
We realize that unlike live poker, the online game moves somewhat faster and it may potentially be hard for players to keep track of what is transpiring. This is especially true in games like Omaha High-Low Split (8 or better), where the hand combinations are significantly larger than in Texas Hold'em.
To assist those players we provide a little "crib" sheet in white text displayed in the bottom right hand corner of the game table that presents the best possible hand the player has pre-flop, on the flop, turn and river (available only on the Fun tables). Additionally, CardRoom.com offers a "Last Hand" feature that allows players to access a detailed, graphical representation of the previous fifty (50) hands. By clicking the "Last" button in the top left corner of the game screen, players can review the past hand and confirm the winning player and hand.
Players may also request a hand history by selecting "Hand History" from the "Requests" pull-down menu in the main Game Lobby. Players can request a history of up to their last one hundred (100) hands. These histories will be sent to the e-mail address you have registered with CardRoom.com. New players may find these reviews helpful in learning more about the games.
To see the other cool game options we have available on CardRoom.com, please click here.
Is there an easy way for me to check what I had in the previous hand?
Keeping track of hands played can sometimes become complicated, especially in High-Low games where there are multiple winners of the pot. While all sites offer an e-mail hand history, CardRoom.com has upped the ante. By clicking the yellow "Last" button (found in the upper left-hand corner of any game or tournament screen), the player can instantly see a graphical representation of what happened in the last hand and the previous fifty (50). No more waiting for receipt of an e-mail to see what happened a minute ago. Now it is no further than a mouse click away and in real time!
You are also always able to request a hand history in the main game "Lobby" screen by selecting "Hand History" in the "Requests" pull-down menu. Your hand history request will be sent to the e-mail address you have registered with CardRoom.com. Players can request up to their last one hundred [100] hands and are also able to query by deal number.
What are Loyalty! Points™ ("L!P")? How do I get them and what are they good for?
The Loyalty! Point™ (L!P) rewards program has been specifically designed to show our appreciation for our players' continued patronage of CardRoom.com. Loyalty Points are accumulated by spending time playing hands at ring games, or participating in tournaments. Loyalty points are also accumulated by answering survey questions, referring your friends and interacting with advertisers. Loyalty points can be converted into Premium Chips™ to use at the Premium Chips™ tables or for purchases in our store. Click here for a complete description of how to earn L!Ps.
How do I earn Qualifying Loyalty! Points™ in a Premium Chips™ ring game?
Qualifying Loyalty! Points™ (for deposit and Invite-a-Friend promotions) are earned when rake is collected during a Premium Chips™ ring game, at the rate of 0.50 L!P per dollar of rake collected. There is a minimum award of 0.2 L!P per hand, and a maximum of 1.5 L!P per hand. If no rake is collected, 0.2 non-qualifying L!P are awarded.
Can I muck my hand at showdown without presenting it to the entire table?
If you are the first to bet on the "river" (the last card presented to the entire table) and are subsequently called by one (1) or more players, your hand will automatically be displayed to all players. Another instance where your hand must be shown to all players occurs if you raise "All-in." "All-in" occurs when a player has committed their entire chip stack to that hand and as a result is not able to win or lose any additional amounts from the pots. At the completion of the hand, the "All-in" player will have their hole cards made available to the table, provided another player calls the all-in bet and wins the hand.
Do you offer any features that allow me to track my playing statistics?
You can readily receive this information by selecting "Statistics" in the "Requests" pull-down menu. Please check the e-mail you have registered with CardRoom.com as that is the address we will be delivering your requested information. You can request statistics for up to your last one hundred hands. Players can also select the yellow "Stats" button in the upper left-hand corner of the "Table" screen that will show them their playing percentages for their current session.
Is there a feature to keep notes on other players?
If you "right click" on another player's PokerFace™ image, you will be given the "Notes" option, which allows you to type in private and specific comments that you may have on your fellow poker players that will be automatically saved on your behalf. Once you have notes on a player, a yellow "N" marker will appear in either the bottom left or right-hand corner of the player's seat as a reminder. To see your notes, just scroll your mouse over the yellow "N" marker.
When I double-click on the desktop CardRoom.com icon, I cannot connect to the CardRoom.com game program. Why is this happening?
In this instance, it would appear that we are unable to update your version of the software. This can primarily be the result of a firewall or local caching issues that prevent the CardRoom.com application from being upgraded. At this juncture, we would recommend that you delete your current installation of the CardRoom.com client and download an entirely new version, readily available at www.CardRoom.com.
What is a CardRoom.com PokerFace™?
When you open your account at CardRoom.com, you will be given the option to choose your CardRoom.com PokerFace™ (an illustrated portrait) that will, along with your Player Name, identify you to other players at the table. Currently, there are fifty-two (52) fun images in our library from which to choose, but look for more portrait choices in the near future. Each one of these player "personalities" has four (4) unique facial expressions including happy, sad, angry and neutral which can be toggled using the F1, F2, F3 and F4 hotkeys respectively. If there are any particular portraits you would like to see, we are open to suggestions at support@CardRoom.com. For more details about CardRoom.com PokerFaces™ click here.
Can I change my CardRoom.com PokerFace™?
You can change your CardRoom.com PokerFace™ as many times as you desire. Go to the "Lobby" screen while running the game program and choose the "Options" pull-down menu. Select "Edit Profile" at the bottom of the list and then select the "Change Portrait" option in the "Edit User Profile" window. Simply click any portrait from the left-hand side to view and select the "OK" button. If you are already in mid-game or signed up for a tournament, your "original" Card Room.com Face™ will remain. Your "new" Card Room.com Face™ will appear once you enter a new game or tournament. If you need further assistance, please e-mail us at support@CardRoom.com. For more details about CardRoom.com PokerFaces™ click here.
Can I use my own picture or icon on CardRoom.com?
We do not currently permit our players to provide their own image on the site. However, we do offer tournaments and other special events where you can win your very own custom Card Room.com Face™. Occasionally there will be freeroll events in which the winner will be awarded their own PokerFace™ that our graphic design team will design to their specifications. Additionally, players can purchase a custom PokerFace™ from the CardRoom.com Store. Only the custom PokerFace™ owner will have access to use their custom portrait, as they will be unavailable to other CardRoom.com members. To see a sample CardRoom.com PokerFace™ click here.
Do you have any rules that govern the interaction among players?
All players must adhere to the "Rules of Conduct" of the site. These guidelines of poker etiquette remind our players to partake in the Games in a decent and respectable manner. We do not tolerate profanity, excessively abusive or confrontational behavior in our chat area. To best address the occurrence of such incidents, we have an obscenity filter that will place asterisks in lieu of objectionable words. Users can, and will find methods to parse coarse language together and do so at the risk of having their chat privileges suspended or further repercussions.
What should I do if somebody is behaving terribly at the table?
We adhere to a strict policy of providing a decent and fun atmosphere for poker players of all varying skill levels. Individuals that create a hostile and unfriendly environment undermine the enjoyment of all CardRoom.com members. While we actively monitor the Games and Tournaments via onsite hosts (known as Administrators, or "CardRoom Admins"), we welcome any and all feedback that our players can provide and will respond with all appropriate measures to the situation. You can call a "CardRoom Admin" to the table by typing "/a" in the chat box. In the interim, we recommend players right-click with their mouse on the picture of the obtrusive individual and select "Shut Up" as that will mute their chat. Please feel free to contact support@CardRoom.com at any time.
Do you use "props" or "shills" to support the games?
CardRoom.com does not ever use house players or computerized programs ("Bots") in its Games. Furthermore, Employees, Affiliates, Consultants or other parties that in any way or form could be privy to information that can be construed as privileged are not permitted to play on the site.
Where can I view and sign up for tournaments?
You can find scheduled CardRoom.com tournament information under the "Tourney" tab located in the main "Lobby" screen of the game. If the player selects any tournament in this tab, they will see information about the highlighted event in the box to the right. For all available events, look in the "Status" column to locate tournaments that are "Registering".
If you're interested in playing in one of our CardRoomGo! Sit-n-go tournaments, you can find those under their tab in the main "Lobby" screen.
For more details on CardRoom.com tournaments, click here.
What types of tournaments do you offer?
We offer Premium Chip™ buy-in events along with a multitude of Chip tournaments every day as well as special promotional tournaments. A complete description of the tournament varieties we offer can be found by clicking here along with a schedule of daily events.
Do you offer "satellites" into larger CardRoom.com tournaments?
Yes, CardRoom.com features many satellites into our larger tournaments. "Satellites" enable players to win a spot into another, usually bigger "target" tournament, thus allowing them to forego the cost of entrance and gain pre-registration into popular events. Since some tournaments may have buy-ins of $100+$9, $300+$20 and even higher, satellites are a cost-effective way to get a seat into the bigger events by paying less upfront. For instance in a $100+$9 event, a player can sign-up for an $11+$1 satellite and for every ten (10) participants, one (1) seat to the $100+$9 event will be awarded.
We also offer "super satellites." "Super satellites" are tournaments that are effectively a "satellite into another satellite" that subsequently feed into a larger "target" event. You can look at a "super satellite" as two steps away from the end "target" event."
For a more comprehensive explanation of satellite tournaments please click here.
Where do I find CardRoom.com satellite events and how do I register?
If you go to the main "Lobby" screen of the CardRoom.com game program, click the "Tourney" tab and select the "Satellite" sub-tab to see a listing of upcoming events. When you click on a satellite, information regarding the target event will be presented in the screen to the right hand side. To register for the satellite event, go to that particular satellite's "Tournament" lobby by either double-clicking to highlight the chosen satellite event or click the blue "Tournament Lobby" button in the information box to the right. Once in the "Tournament Lobby", click on the blue "REGISTER" button found in the upper right-hand corner.
I won a seat into the "target" event. Where can I find detailed information about the "target" event?
There are many ways to find information about "target" events.
Highlighting a specific satellite tournament in the game lobby will load the target event information and number in the description pane on the right.
When the satellite event is opened in the Tournament Lobby window, the target event information will appear in the prize information area. This is the best way to find target event information after a satellite is completed.
In the upper left-hand corner of the "Tournament Lobby" window of a satellite in progress (and typically for three (3) hours thereafter), you will see the text "Satellite to Tournament # [XXXX]." This will tell you the "target" tournament to which the top finishers in the "satellite" will have won an entry. Also, this area will give you the date, time and description of the "target" event.
You can also search for the details of each "target" event by its own unique identification number (ID). To find the "target" tournament for which your satellite finish qualified you, go to the "Tourney" tab in the main "Lobby" screen and select the "All" sub-tab. To make it easier to find the ID of your "target" event, you can sort the list by clicking on the "ID" header. You will see a small "black" triangle appear next to "ID" that will either sort it in ascending or descending order.
What if I win a seat into a "target" event and I cannot/do not want to play in the "target" tournament?
There is no unregistration from any target event if you qualify via satellite. You can only unregister from events in which you have paid the full entry fee.
What if I win two (2) or more seats in different satellites to the same "target" event?
If a player happens to qualify twice into the same "target" event, our system automatically credits the value of the 2nd "extra seat" to the player.
Can I play in more than one (1) tournament at the same time?
We currently allow CardRoom.com members to play up to four (4) tables simultaneously. If you elect to play multiple tables, you implicitly assume the risk of such an action. Since game tables that require your immediate attention automatically come to the forefront of the screen, it is possible for you to accidentally select an incorrect action, such as calling when you wanted to fold or vice versa. Moreover, we recommend playing on only the amount of tables that you believe you can keep pace with as a courtesy to other players.
If I register for a tournament and then realize I am unable to play, can I get a refund?
Up until the time at which a tournament commences seating, you can unregister for an event. Seating for the majority of events will begin five (5) minutes before the tournament will start running. To execute this action please go to the specific Tournament Lobby for the event you signed up for and in the upper right hand corner click the "Unregister" button and at that point your account will automatically be credited the full buy-in.
What happens if the server crashes in the middle of hand during a tournament?
If the server is to crash, the hands in progress at every table will be rolled back such that the chip count of every player will be reset to the amount at the beginning of that specific hand. In those instances in which it is not possible to restart the tournament in a timely manner after the crash, CardRoom.com, at its discretion, will cancel that event and will either refund all participants will be refunded, or remaining prize pool will be equally divided among those remaining participants.
Can I call "Time" during a tournament to evaluate my next move?
CardRoom.com gives tournament participants a "time bank" of sixty (60) seconds in which to make decisions on their hand. The "time bank" of the player will be depleted as it is utilized over the course of a tournament. If a player elects to activate their "time bank," the other tournament participants at the table are notified via the "Dealer Chat" in the chat box. Moreover, if a player is not able to act within the normal allotted time, their bank is activated provided that both the tournament participant is connected to the system and they have invested chips in that pot.
What happens if I am disconnected in the middle of a hand during a tournament?
In the event that a player loses connection during a tournament, CardRoom.com will add up to sixty (60) seconds to the time available for the tournament participant to act. If you are unable to reconnect within that time, your hand will be automatically folded, and you will be placed in "Sitting Out" state until such time as you are able to reconnect to CardRoom.com.
Can I request a hand history for a specific tournament in which I participated?
You are able to request a specific tournament hand history in the main Game Lobby by selecting "Tournament History" in the "Requests" pull-down menu and typing in the desired event number. Your hand history request will be sent to the e-mail address you have registered with CardRoom.com.

CardRoom.com is pleased to provide the added assurance of a well-renowned independent third- party analysis of our random number generation ("RNG") source code and shuffle. In November 2003, CardRoom.com engaged the services of Cigital, Inc., an industry expert in the field of software quality management ("SQM"). The business of Cigital is evaluating the vulnerability and dependability of software systems for Global 1,000 companies, including Visa International, Texas Instruments, AOL, MasterCard, General Electric, Motorola, Pfizer Health Solutions and Ericsson, to name a few. Click here to see the complete Cigital review.
Cigital ran the CardRoom.com software through a battery of analyses including, FIPS 140-1, the U.S. government standard for cryptographic software systems and the Marsaglia Die-Hard tests. CardRoom.com was also subjected to the stringent requirements of the Berlekamp-Massey examination, which many pseudo random number generators ("PRNG") fail. For an article on the shortcomings of PRNG click here.
CardRoom.com met, and exceeded, all the above criteria, Cigital was incapable of ascertaining any statistical weaknesses therein or breaking the RNG. A more comprehensive explanation of our RNG and shuffling is available here.
How do I know that players are not colluding against me when I play at CardRoom.com?
There are no bulletproof methods to address the possibility of collusion. Whether poker is played online or in your local CardRoom there always remains the potential of players working together to gain an unfair advantage. Collusion occurs when two (2) or more players on the same table collaborate with the knowledge of several hands, rather than just their own, in order to maximize profits. Any player deemed to be attempting to collude at CardRoom.com will have their account terminated without prejudice.
The Security Staff at CardRoom.com is quite cognizant of the damage to the integrity of the game caused by collusion, and accordingly has adopted techniques to help identify and address such incidents:
Reports by CardRoom.com players. If a player reports any incident by sending an e-mail to support@CardRoom.com, our Security Team immediately and thoroughly analyzes the matter.
Data mining and analysis. As part of our security protocols we routinely review player records for betting anomalies relative to hand strength and subject that data to a battery of statistical exams to ascertain any variance and thus determine if any players may have acted in concert.
Actively assessing play. We keep records in perpetuity of all users and note if they participate on the same table on a recurring basis and evaluate their play in that context to evaluate any potential anomalies.
If you have any questions or comments regarding any of the preceding please do not hesitate to contact us at support@CardRoom.com

Is it possible for another player to hack into the system and view my hole cards?
CardRoom.com utilizes state-of-the-industry encryption to thwart attempts by hackers and other unauthorized users. All communications between CardRoom.com and your computer are encrypted using the internationally accepted industry-proven PKCS v2.0 protocol (a subset of the functionality of SSL) for secure key exchange. The software is further configured to use RSA for authentication and session key generation/exchange and AES (Advanced Encryption Standard), the tough "defense-strength" standard. This ensures that your hole cards and all personal data are transmitted with the same level of security used by the U.S. Federal Government.
Moreover, the cards of each player are only sent to their respective computer thus disallowing any attempt by a player to hack the client software to determine your hole cards.
Do you intend to share my private information with another party?
CardRoom.com collects no personal information that does not pertain to the purpose of providing customer service. In addition, CardRoom.com does not garner any data that is not relevant to providing anything but top-flight customer service. What resolution is best for the game? I get a message telling me that my screen resolution must be 800 x 600 or that my 256 colors aren't enough. How do I fix this?
With your mouse, right-click on any open space on the desktop and select "Properties" from the menu that pops up. From the tabs on the top, select "Settings" (found on the upper right-hand corner). From there, you'll be able to set both the screen resolution and number of colors being displayed. The next setting up from 256 colors is good enough; that will give you over 65,000 colors (16-bit). The setting above 640x480 is 800x600, which is also good enough, but you may want to try out different settings to see what looks best to you.

Why do I sometimes experience a slow/interrupted connection?
Our servers have sufficient bandwidth for a very large number of users. However, some ISP connections may require many hops (network jumps) or may use a congested peering exchange. Go to the Start Menu, select Run
Enter 'Command' and click 'Ok'
In the black text window type the following "Ipconfig /release", push the "Enter" button
In the same text window type the following "Ipconfig /renew", push the "Enter" button
Type "exit" and push the "Enter" button
Reboot your computer
Reconnect to CardRoom.com
What happens if the game freezes?
While every effort is made to ensure uninterrupted play, factors beyond our control may cause games to freeze. All transactions are logged as they occur and every effort is made to restore the game state quickly and accurately. In the event there is a game interruption in which restoration is not possible, the interrupted deal will be cancelled and all players will have the state they were in before the interrupted hand.
