Game Etiquette
Our amazing player community is one of the features that makes CardRoom.com a great place to
learn and improve your poker-playing skills. We believe that poker is the ultimate strategic game, and a big part
of that is respecting one’s opponents at the table, through fair play and courteous chat. To that end,
we’ve established our own rules of conduct, and work diligently to ensure that everyone has the same
opportunity to win money in a safe and friendly environment.
If at any time you believe another user is either cheating or being abusive at the table and is causing a
disruption to a game in progress, immediately send an email to
support@CardRoom.com
and a CardRoom.com administrator will respond shortly to address the situation, and if needed,
alert the Poker Room Manager.
Rules of Conduct
At CardRoom.com, all players and staff are expected to respect everyone they interact with
while on CardRoom.com. Our company does not tolerate cheating in any way or form, either through
collusion, or any other tactic, means or design deemed to be creating an unfair, unethical or improper advantage
vis-à-vis other users. In addition, users must be aware of their behavior and its potential impact on others.
The Rules of Conduct include, but are not limited to, the following general parameters:
CardRoom.com does not tolerate unwanted foul or abusive language in the Chat area. Though the
site offers an obscenity filter to limit the potential offenses people may suffer from such behavior, the
activity is forbidden.
A player shall not be subject to harassment or intimidation by another player at the table.
During game play, players are prohibited from chatting about their hand and/or that
of the opponents until all actions for that hand are completed.
We realize that for many of our international customers, English may not be their
first language. However until we are able to effectively moderate additional languages,
our current policy at CardRoom.com is for English-only when games
are in session.
"Soft playing" during tournaments is not to be tolerated. "Soft playing"
occurs when a player does not bet their hand to the fullest extent when playing
against another participant that may be a friend or family member.
CardRoom.com also does not permit players from passing or
"dumping" chips to other participants.
Any action that is not specifically delineated in the aforementioned or in the
preceding, but is considered to be unethical by CardRoom.com, may
result in violators losing their playing privileges.
By downloading the CardRoom.com software and partaking in the application, the user is subject
both to the Terms and Conditions and
the Rules of Conduct. The above
material delineates the acceptable guidelines by which players that are party to the Terms and Conditions of the
software are expected to adhere to while participating in any and all games offered by CardRoom.com.
The Rules of Conduct are designed to establish and foster an environment where people can enjoy poker and related
games in a fun, relaxed and social atmosphere. If CardRoom.com believes that any user has breached
any of the Rules of Conduct, Terms and Conditions or has violated the "spirit" of such guidelines,
CardRoom.com reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to take any and all actions it deems necessary.
CardRoom.com reserves the right to change any of the aforementioned including, without limitation, the
Rules of Conduct or any other policy pertaining to the operation of tournaments or games without prior notice. In cases of
disputes, the decisions of the CardRoom.com staff are final. Furthermore, at its sole discretion,
CardRoom.com retains the right to terminate, without prejudice, the account of any player that it deems
to be in violation of any of the preceding.
