An Omaha High-Low Split (8 or better), the best high hand wins half the pot, and the best low hand wins
the other half, provided that the low hand comprises five cards of different ranks, with no card being
higher than an eight. Straights and flushes do not affect the value of a low hand, and can be used for
both high and low. A player may use one combination of cards to make a high hand and the same, or any
arrangement to make a low hand, as long as each hand consists of exactly two "hole" cards with
three "board" cards.
Determination of winners follows standard Hand Rankings.
When comparing low hands, the lowest possible hand is [5, 4, 3, 2, A] (also known as a ‘Wheel’). The
second lowest hand would be [6, 4, 3, 2, A]. The low hand with the lowest ‘high’ card is considered the
winner. For example, [7, 6, 5, 4, 3] beats [8, 4, 3, 2, A]. Flushes and straights do not affect the value of the low
hand and can be used for both high and low hands.
